DSPIAE SS-C02-600 is a refill of twenty-four self-adhesive foam discs ten millimeters in diameter in 600 grit. The intermediate step between coarse leveling and smoothing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Twenty-four foam discs with a self-adhesive back, ten millimeters in diameter. The 600 grit is an intermediate step with a single task: to remove the scratches left by the coarse 400 grit without wiping away the shape you leveled with the coarse abrasive. Without this step the coarse scratches run through the whole procedure and show up under the paint.
Immediately after the coarse leveling of a joint, filler or a sprue nub. Go over the face for as long as it takes for all traces of the previous grit to disappear under a side light. Only then is there any point in moving to the finer step.
The refill is for users of the discs in this range. The 600 grit is used up the fastest of them all, because it does the most work in terms of the amount of material removed per unit of area and clogs faster than the finer grits.
It pays to keep a second mandrel to hand fitted with exactly this grit, so that it can be alternated with the coarser step without resticking. Do not breathe in the sanding dust from plastic and resin; work with extraction or at least with a respirator.
