Steel round rods 0.3 mm, length 250 mm, 12 pcs is a set of twelve steel rods 0.3 mm in diameter and 250 mm long.
Responsibility details are not available.
Twelve steel rods of round section, three tenths of a millimeter in diameter and twenty-five centimeters long. Steel is the stiffest of the wires commonly used in modeling, so even at such a small diameter the part stays straight and does not sag. That is exactly the difference against brass or copper, which bend under their own weight.
Steel bends less readily than brass and snaps at a small radius, so make the bends over round-nose pliers and rather in stages. Cut it with heavy-duty side cutters; fine modeling pliers will notch their edge on steel. When gluing a pin into plastic, use a pre-drilled hole and super glue. Degrease the surface before painting and apply a primer. The material can be soldered, and thanks to its stiffness it also works where the part has to carry a load.
Steel also suits taut rigging because once strung it does not give and does not sag under its own weight.
The ends of the rods are sharp and can fly off when cut. Protect your eyes and keep the material out of the reach of children.
