A Brick System plastic brick kit from the manufacturer Revell representing the German U-96 Type VII C submarine made famous by the war film Das Boot. Unlike conventional glued plastic models, this kit is assembled by simply clicking the bricks together - it needs no glue, no paints and no modeling tools. The parts are molded in color from the factory, so once assembled you have a finished model ready for display.
Type VII C submarines formed the backbone of the German submarine fleet during the Second World War and were deployed above all in the Battle of the Atlantic. The particular boat U-96 became known worldwide thanks to the war film Das Boot, which conveyed the cramped life of the crew on long war patrols. A characteristic feature is the slender hull with the conning tower.
The individual bricks are joined by clicking together, so the build is clean and even a less experienced builder can manage it without glue and paints. The finished model can be displayed or taken apart and reassembled. Clear instructions make the process easier.
