A4 mylar sheets for making stencils, three pieces from Green Stuff World. A tough translucent film from which you cut your own mask.
Responsibility details are not available.
A package of three sheets of tough translucent film in A4 format, meant for making your own stencils and masks. Ready-made masks cover the usual needs, but as soon as you need an unusual shape, your own insignia, lettering or an irregular edge of camouflage, there is nothing for it but to make the stencil yourself. Mylar suits this better than paper: it does not soak up paint, it does not go soggy and it lasts for many uses.
The motif is transferred onto the film and cut out with a scalpel or cut with a cutting plotter. The translucency lets you place the stencil accurately, because you can see through it to what is underneath. The film suits repeating elements, tactical numbers, zebra stripes, the texture of an anti-slip surface and irregular masking in weathering.
Cut on a hard surface and change the blade often, because a blunt knife tears the film rather than cutting it. With fine motifs leave enough bridges between the openings, otherwise the stencil falls apart. When spraying, hold the stencil down or fix it with light masking tape and apply the paint straight on in thin coats. Clean the film after use so that dried paint does not change the shape of the openings.
This is a material for making stencils, not a finished mask. A knife and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
