Acrylic Color Chancellor Blue - a blue for figures

Chancellor Blue is a medium blue from the Acrylic Color line of the brand Green Stuff World. The shade is readable but not garish, so it suits large areas that are to hold the look of a whole unit: coats, cloaks, facings, broadcloth. The paint is an acrylic and it thins with water, and you can combine it with any other water-thinnable acrylics.

Method for painting a whole batch

• First get all the figures to the same stage: clean them, glue them, mount them on a base, spray the primer. Jumping between stages is the biggest waster of time.
• Then paint by element, not by figure. The blue on all the coats at once, only then the metal, then the leather. Ten figures will take you roughly the time you would otherwise give to three.
• Apply the paint thinly and rather twice than once thickly, because on a figure the point is to keep the engraved detail.
• It thins with water or with an acrylic thinner. Do not use a lacquer or a cellulose thinner.
• Shake the bottle before every time you take paint out and close it straight after the work, because acrylic dries fastest on the neck.
• Use the blue left on the palette on bases and accessories, so that you do not throw it away.
