About product

The green of a deep deciduous forest

Forest Green is the classic dark green most people picture under the word forest. In the range it follows right after the cold deep-water green and is noticeably warmer than it, closer to a leaf than to water. That makes it the most usable green base of all: under the crowns of trees, on bushes, on moss, on the dark growth of a diorama and on the cloak of a ranger and the canvas of a field tent.

In vegetation this paint has one important role that is often forgotten. The greenery modelers buy ready-made tends to be monotonously light and a scene made of it looks artificial. It is enough to put this dark tone under it or to lay a very thin glaze over it, and foliage gains the depth that real growth has under sunlight at once.

  • Package volume 17 ml in a bottle with a dropper
  • Position in the range a warm dark green of the leaf kind
  • It covers well, a surface evens out in two layers
  • Inside a metal ball against the settling of pigment
  • Thinned with water, for spraying with an acrylic thinner

Military use comes second in order. The shade will serve on the dark field of a multicolor camouflage, on the canvas parts of equipment, on crates and transport containers and on the green features of field vehicles. In combination with an ocher or sand color a whole transitional scale can be mixed from it, from the deep shadow of growth to dried summer grass.

FAQ

It tends to be monotonously light. Put this dark tone under it or go over it with a thin glaze and it will gain depth.

Add an ocher or sand paint drop by drop. A smooth scale arises from the shadow of growth to a dry blade.

As a rule two thin ones. One thick layer evens a surface out less well and heightens the traces of the brush.
