Acrylic molds - Octagon Paving Brick is an acrylic mold for impressing octagonal paving into modeling putties and for casting in plaster. With it you make paved areas for dioramas, for gaming terrain and for bases.

This is a tool for making surfaces, not a finished part. The mold impresses paving made of octagonal units, that is a pattern that works well on courtyards, squares, sidewalks and the entrance areas of buildings. Pliable putty is pressed into the mold, or plaster is cast into it, and once it has set a slab ready to be set into the terrain comes out.
A rigid acrylic mold does not bend under pressure, and so it holds the regularity of the grid. That matters with geometric paving, because warped joints show in a finished diorama at a glance. Flexible silicone molds have the advantage instead with irregular structures, where accuracy to the millimeter does not matter.
It is aimed at builders of dioramas and vignettes, at players who make gaming terrain of their own, and at figure painters who want a base with a paved surface. Because it is a reusable aid, any amount of paved area can be made from it.
It is worth making one test impression first and only then mixing putty for the whole area.
