Afrika Korps Filter 35ml

AK Interactive Afrika Korps Filter

An enamel (solvent-based) filter from the Spanish brand AK Interactive. The light brown shade is meant to shift the overall tone of vehicles in the desert yellow camouflage of the Afrika Korps. Unlike a wash, which picks out detail and flows into recesses, a filter unifies and lightly tints the whole painted surface, gives it depth and breaks up its flatness. The bottle holds 35 ml.

Use

• Shake the bottle and apply with a flat, moistened brush over the whole surface without flooding it.
• It is thinned and cleaned with mineral spirits (white spirit).
• The step can be repeated in several thin layers for a stronger shift in tone.
• Suitable for desert vehicles before the further weathering steps (washes, pigments).

Who it is for

For military vehicle modelers who want to unify and enliven the tone of a single-color desert camouflage.

Flammable solvent-based liquid. Work in a well-ventilated area, away from open flame and out of reach of children; keep the container closed.
