Airbrush Ace Series GHAC-Swallowtail SD is an airbrush of the Gaahleri brand with a side-mounted cup, which does not block the view of the place being sprayed.

The side mounting of the cup is the main idea of this airbrush. The jar does not stand above the body but at the side, so it does not obscure the view of the place you are aiming at. The difference tells with tight lines, with transitions around rivets and everywhere a modeler usually tilts his head just to see the tip at all. The holder of the cup can be turned, so the airbrush stays usable even when working at an angle or from below, where a cup on top would start to overflow.
It aims at modelers who already have command of an airbrush and are running into its limits. They need to see the trace, to adapt the arrangement to the scope of the work and to get the nozzle out in a moment, because they clean it several times in an afternoon. A beginner will grow into it, but the full benefit goes to someone who sprays regularly and at length.
The brand offers separate needles, nozzles, air caps and cups for the Swallowtail line, so the set can be extended in time. When cleaning, work with solvents in a well-ventilated space and put the airbrush in a stand, so that the point of the needle does not come down on the benchtop.
