AK QUICK GEN SPECIAL BRUSH is a special synthetic brush from AK interactive developed for the contrast technique of painting figures with the one-coat paints of the Quick Gen range. It is a tool, not a kit and not a paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
Quick Gen is a range of acrylic contrast paints from AK interactive — paints that are applied in one coat, run into the recesses by themselves and create a shadow, while staying lighter on the raised parts. This brush is a tool tailored exactly to that technique. It is not a kit and not a paint — you are buying the brush itself, and the Quick Gen paints are sold separately.
Contrast paints are acrylic and are thinned with water — so rinse the brush out as you go and immediately after painting, before the paint starts to set. Given that this brush is built for a large load of paint, it is all the more important not to sink it as far as the metal ferrule: paint dried at the root of the filaments upsets the whole tip and the brush is finished for good. Synthetic filament stands up to sharper cleaners better than natural hair, but nothing replaces washing it out at once and drying it filaments up — never with the tip standing in a pot.
For figure painters who want an army painted quickly and still decently — and for anyone who works with contrast paints and wants to get the most out of them.
This is a tool. Paints are not included in the package.
