AS-7 Neutral Gray 100ml

Tamiya AS-7 Neutral Gray (aircraft spray, 100 ml)

An aircraft lacquer spray from Tamiya's AS line, intended for painting plastic aircraft models. It is a synthetic lacquer ready for immediate use – you simply spray it, with no thinning and no airbrush. The Neutral Gray shade is the American neutral gray with which the undersurfaces of USAAF aircraft were painted during the Second World War, usually combined with olive drab on the upper surfaces. The can holds 100 ml of lacquer and dries to a flat finish suited to camouflage schemes of that period.

Use

• Painting plastic aircraft models, above all the undersurfaces of American USAAF machines of the Second World War.
• Spray from a distance of about 25–30 cm from the model.
• Apply in several thin coats, letting each dry – this prevents runs and preserves the engraved detail.
• The best adhesion comes on clean plastic or over a primer.
• Shake the can for several tens of seconds before use and spray in a well-ventilated area.

Who it is for

Suitable for modelers building American Second World War aircraft who want a quick and even coat on the undersurfaces without an airbrush. It naturally complements the olive drab shade on the upper surfaces; beginners and the advanced alike will appreciate it.

A flammable aerosol under pressure. Use in a well-ventilated area, keep away from flame, sparks and high temperature. Keep out of the reach of children.
