Basalt Grey – RAL 7012 Basaltgrau

Mr.Paint Basalt Grey (RAL 7012 Basaltgrau)

Mr.Paint Basalt Grey is a solvent-based modeling lacquer paint in a dark, neutrally tuned shade of gray matching the RAL 7012 Basaltgrau standard, that is basalt gray. The shade found its use on modern German military hardware and in aviation camouflage schemes as well. The paint is thinned with lacquer (cellulose) thinner, not with water, and it is ready for spraying with an airbrush in exceptionally thin coats.

Use

• The dark gray shade of modern German military camouflage.
• It is applied with an airbrush in an extremely thin coat with strong coverage.
• It is thinned with lacquer thinner for paints of this type, never with water.
• It dries quickly to a smooth, finely satin surface.
• Compatible with a gloss lacquer coat under decals and a flat coat at the end.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.

Who it is for

For modelers who build modern German military hardware or aircraft and need a dark, neutral basalt gray. The lacquer base gives thin and smooth coats applied with an airbrush, holds excellently on plastic and on metal and stands up to subsequent patinating. Do not mix it with water-thinnable acrylics or with enamel paints.

A flammable solvent-based liquid. Spray in a well ventilated space away from an open flame, use respiratory protection and keep out of the reach of children.
