Two straight brass tubes with an outer diameter of 3.0 mm. This is not a kit but raw material for scratchbuilding, modifying and upgrading models. Brass is strong, cuts, bends and solders well, and unlike plastic it withstands mechanical stress, so it suits any spot where a plastic part falls short or breaks easily. The hollow profile also lets you run a wire or a thinner tube through it, creating telescoping and detachable joints. The metal surface holds paint and metallic shades well and looks realistic especially on barrels and exhausts.
Intended for more advanced modelers who modify and add to models beyond the box contents. Cutting and bending metal requires suitable tools — a metal saw, pliers and needle files; bend the tube gradually so it does not flatten at the bend. It can be joined with cyanoacrylate glue or by soldering, with the soldered joint being the strongest.
Cut ends are usually sharp — file them down. Protect your eyes when cutting and sanding metal, and work on a suitable surface.
