The sanding stick (19 mm) medium (blue) is a wide double-sided Albion Alloys sanding file for leveling larger areas quickly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A double-sided sanding stick nineteen millimeters wide. In the manufacturer's coding system the color blue corresponds to a medium grit. The wide face holds a flat plane, so it suits leveling the parting line on fuselages, hulls and other large parts, where a narrow file would leave waves behind.
Draw the sanding stick in long strokes across the whole area and keep the pressure even, or a hollow will form at the edges. Turn the surface against the light as you go, as matte and glossy marks will show where material still remains. After the medium grit, finish the surface with a finer grade, because scratches become more prominent once paint is sprayed on. Wash clogged abrasive with water and let it dry.
On large areas it pays to sand crosswise, that is to alternate the direction of the strokes by ninety degrees. Scratches from the previous step then show up at once and will not stay hidden under the paint.
When sanding fillers and resin, protect your airways and do not breathe the dust.
