AK interactive BSC. No31 Light Stone — modeling acrylic paint, 17 ml

A water-based acrylic paint from the AFV Series modeling line by the Spanish maker AK interactive. The abbreviation BSC in the name refers to the British Standard Colour system, according to which military equipment was painted during the Second World War. The Light Stone shade is a light sandy stone color used on British vehicles in desert and Mediterranean surroundings, where it formed the basic covering tone of the hull. The paint comes in a bottle of 17 ml and once dry it leaves a matte surface matching the character of period military finishes.

Use

• It is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush; for the airbrush it is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner from the same maker.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when it stands for a while.
• You will get the best coverage in two or three thin coats on a degreased base treated with a primer.
• On the large areas of a hull, spray in thin coats, as light sandy shades otherwise easily bring out every irregularity of the surface.
• Do not thin a water-based acrylic with lacquer or enamel thinners, as the two chemistries do not go together.
