The blue member of the Cobra Motor line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, that is of a palette built exclusively on body colors. It is a deep, full blue without a metallic effect, the type of finish worn by classic sports and utility cars in the days when metallics were not yet used across the board.
Blue and white stripes
A deep blue is the classic base for racing stripes and numbers. The order matters: first the blue as the overall color, then masking once it has dried perfectly, and only then the light stripe. The reverse almost always ends with the white showing through the blue and with paint creeping under the tape. Give the blue surface more time to cure before you lay masking tape on it.
Deep blue shades are helped by an even, lighter base, as the first coat tends to look weak on bare dark plastic. Apply the paint in thin coats and do not rush between them. Always peel the masking tape off and stick it back onto the back of your hand first, so that it loses some tack and does not tear the edge of the paint off.
