A modeling aid for two things everybody deals with when painting: mixing paint thoroughly and closing the pot so that the rest lasts until next time.
Responsibility details are not available.
Paint in a pot separates: the pigment sinks to the bottom and clear binder stays on top. Paint that has only been stirred cursorily therefore changes its shade and its covering power between the first coat and the last, and a model ends up patchy without your having done anything else wrong. The second common failing is a badly closed pot: the paint in it thickens and dries out before you manage to use it up. This aid is aimed at both, at mixing the contents and at making the pot seal properly after work.
Mix until all the settled pigment lifts off the bottom and the surface has a uniform color and sheen. You can check it with a drop on white paper: paint that is not fully mixed leaves a grainy or lighter mark. Prepare a shade mixed from several paints with some to spare, because the same ratio is hard to hit a second time. The exact procedure for use and the extent of the package are given by the manufacturer.
Wipe the rim of the pot and the thread before closing it. A dried deposit on the rim is the most common reason why a lid will not open next time or why it stops sealing. Store the pots upright, in the cool and out of direct sun. Thin thickened paint with the thinner intended for that range according to the instructions from the manufacturer on the package; after thinning, let the pot stand for a while and mix it again.
Paints, thinner, pots and brushes are not part of the delivery unless stated otherwise.
