The box holds peel and stick abrasive pieces in 600 grit and an applicator handle with a tapered tip. The pieces stick onto the tip and form a conical sanding surface; once worn they are taken off and replaced with no glue residue. Grit 600 is the finest of the stages normally offered in the range: it does not serve to remove material but to finish the surface.

Use

• Final smoothing of the surface before spraying, so that no scratches show through the paint.
• Sanding between coats of primer or varnish.
• Refining the marks left by coarser grits inside holes, exhausts and vents.
• Carefully leveling small irregularities in the varnish and specks of dust without rubbing through the layer.

Who the tools are for

For modelers who care about the quality of the surface: on gloss finishes, car bodies and clear parts every skipped grit shows. The conical shape of the tip makes it possible to finish even places where neither an ordinary sanding block nor paper on a finger will reach. Bring grit 600 in only as the last step after coarser stages.

With fine grits, wet sanding gives a better result and reduces the dust. Do not breathe the dust and work in a ventilated space.
