The light blue Crystal Light Blue shade for modelers. It is applied in thin coats over a clean, degreased base.
Responsibility details are not available.
A light blue shade from the range marked Crystal. Blue tones are among the trickiest on a model: under artificial light they shift somewhere else than in daylight, and next to dark surroundings they look lighter than they do on their own. It therefore pays to try the paint first on an offcut of plastic treated with the same base the finished model will have, and to decide only from that sample.
Shake the bottle well before work, because the pigment settles at the bottom while standing. The surface has to be clean and degreased, because on grease the paint beads up and peels away during masking. Apply it in thin coats and let the surface set between them; building up layers gives a more even surface than one heavy coat, which drowns fine engraving. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this range. When you finish work, wipe the thread of the bottle, or dried paint will make it impossible to close properly next time.
For modelers who work with a brush as well as an airbrush and want the shade at hand in a small package without mixing. Keep the paint left over after a session and apply it at the same thinning as before, or the shade will drift noticeably between coats.
Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and a model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
