Crystal Smoke is a smoke shade, that is, a gray-brown clouded tone from the Crystal range. The shades of this range are applied to clear parts so that they let the color through rather than hide it: they suit darkening canopy and window glazing, smoked light covers and glass that is meant to look smoked or tinted. They also come into their own when darkening paintwork that has already been sprayed, where a subtle shadow rather than a covering coat is wanted.
Shake the bottle properly before use. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this range. Apply in several very thin coats and let the surface dry between them, because the intensity of the shade grows with every further coat and cannot be taken back. On clear parts an airbrush works better; a brush easily leaves marks on a smooth transparent surface.
The paint suits modelers dealing with glazing, lights and smoked covers on aircraft, military vehicles and cars. It is tied to no scale and no particular model, because it is a paint in its own right.
The paint is supplied on its own. Thinner, brushes and a kit are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
