OILBRUSHER DARK MUD — Oil Paint with a Brush in the Cap

OILBRUSHER DARK MUD from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is an oil paint — that is, neither an acrylic nor an enamel — supplied in a bottle with a volume of 10 ml. The cap has a fine brush built in, so you apply the paint straight from the bottle, with no decanting or mixing on a palette. The paint is already thinned at the factory to a consistency ready for immediate use. It is a modeling paint, or modeling chemistry — not a kit. The DARK MUD shade is a dark, earthy muddy tone used for creating mud deposits and dried grime.

Use

• Running gear, tracks and road wheels — spread out the applied dots and a natural deposit of dried mud appears.
• Mudguards, wheel arches and the underside of the hull — the spots where mud actually accumulates the most.
• Streaks and stains from rain and driving off-road, or splashed mud marks.
• The paint dries slowly, so it can be spread and softly blended for a long time — this is the main advantage of oils over fast-drying acrylics. Until it dries, the effect can always be softened or wiped off completely.
• It is thinned and blended with odorless thinner, or mineral spirits. Apply it only over a cured, varnished surface, not fresh paint.

For modelers of military and construction equipment, diorama builders, and anyone who wants to give a model a convincing weathered finish. Thanks to the brush in the cap and the slow drying, it is usable even for less experienced modelers — the process is very forgiving, since the result can be adjusted along the way.
