A liquid pigment in an enamel form, a dark mud shade. It serves to lay a dried deposit of mud on suspensions, tracks and the undersides of vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A liquid pigment is a ready mix of a colored powder and a carrier liquid. It is applied with a brush, the liquid evaporates and a matte, grainy deposit is left on the surface that looks like settled dirt. Compared with a loose pigment it has the advantage that it can be aimed precisely and that once dry it holds by itself, with no further binder. It is used everywhere it should be visible on a model that the machine has been driven: on the suspension, on the tracks and the ends of the fenders, in the gaps of the superstructure and on the footwear of figures.
This shade is a dark brown tuned toward the wet mud that holds on the underside of a vehicle after a drive through soaked ground. It suits vehicles and the ground of a diorama alike and it goes with the other earthy shades, with which a deposit can be graded: darker down at the ground, lighter toward the top. According to the name it is an enamel product, so it is not thinned with water.
Shake the bottle well before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply it with a brush over smaller areas, with a stippling motion, so that the deposit does not come out as an even film but as an irregular build-up. Let it dry and only then judge the result, as a wet deposit is always darker. Level the surplus with a brush moistened in a thinner meant for this range, going over it in the direction water would run. Check first in a hidden place on the model how the product gets on with the paint you have on the surface.
The brushes, the thinner and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
