A kit of the figure of Vegetto from the world of Dragon Ball Z by the Japanese manufacturer Bandai. Bandai builds its figure kits on the snap-fit system: the parts are separated by color according to the individual parts of the character and are joined by snapping together, so the model can be assembled without glue and without painting. The manufacturer does not usually state a scale of its own for figures in this category. The result is a standing figure meant for display, which you can leave in its basic form or work up further with modeling techniques.
Vegetto is a character who in the story comes about through the fusion of the two main fighters of the series, Son Goku and Vegeta. Visually he combines features of both: a hairstyle with elements of both characters, a fighting outfit and accessories by which fans recognize him at once. In a collection of characters from the world of Dragon Ball he therefore usually stands as the punchline beside the separate figures of the two original fighters.
Nip the parts off with cutters a little away from the part and level the remaining sprue nub with a file or a knife, so that no white burr is left on the edge. The dry snap fit is firm, but taking the joints apart repeatedly strains them, so think the position of the parts through in advance. The look is greatly lifted by emphasizing the engraved lines with a panel liner or a thinned wash and by a final overspray with matte or semi-matte varnish, which unifies the shine of the plastic. If you want to paint the whole model, degrease the plastic first and use a primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and the parts are separated by color. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
