The De Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI is a kit of the British twin-engine fighter bomber from plastic bricks — without glue and without painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A model of the British twin-engine aircraft De Havilland Mosquito in the FB Mk.VI version from the Polish brand COBI. It is not an injection-molded plastic model: the parts are plastic bricks and shaped pieces joined with a snap, so gluing, filling and spraying all fall away. The plastic is colored from production and illustrated instructions lead the build step by step.
The Mosquito was a British twin-engine aircraft of the Second World War, interesting in design in that its airframe was largely wooden. It was powered by two Rolls-Royce Merlin V engines. The FB Mk.VI version was the fighter bomber configuration with fixed forward armament and the ability to carry an external load under the wing. The aircraft was used for attacks on ground and naval targets and for escort tasks as well.
On a twin-engine aircraft the most sensitive point is where the engine nacelles join the wing — press the parts home at a right angle and check straight away whether both nacelles make the same angle with the wing. Put the wing together along its whole length at once, not in halves. Fit the propellers only at the end. Stand the finished model on a flat shelf and take hold of it under the fuselage, not by the wingtips.
The kit is supplied unassembled. The parts are from colored plastic, and glue and paints are not needed and are not included in the package.
