A kit of the French fighter aircraft Dewoitine D.520 of 1940. It goes together without gluing, as the parts fit into one another.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Dewoitine D.520 was the best French fighter aircraft that managed to reach the units before the defeat of France in 1940. It was powered by the Hispano-Suiza 12Y V-12 engine and its armament consisted of a cannon firing through the propeller hub completed by machine guns in the wing. Against contemporary German fighters it lost out in speed, but it was agile, handled well and could take a hit. The number of examples produced was small and they reached the units at the last moment; even so the aircraft won itself a decent name and served after 1940 as well.
The model is assembled without glue. The parts fit into one another through a joining system, so the build is clean, it does without tools and the model can be taken apart and put back together at any time. The number of parts, the execution of the landing gear and the propeller and the extent of the movable sections follow from the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Build according to the instructions step by step and do not skip steps, because with this system the parts are often secured only later. Press the joints home at a right angle, not at an angle. Put the wing and the fuselage together on a flat base, so that the model sits level in the end. Do any painting only on parts you will not be taking apart afterwards.
The set is for collectors of aviation hardware and for builders who want a model without the work of glue and paints, and for building together with children as well. Paints, glue and a stand are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
