A green dye for casting resins. It is mixed into UV-cured, epoxy and polyurethane compounds and dosed drop by drop with the dropper supplied.
Responsibility details are not available.
A green dye changes casting resin from the inside, so the casting needs no surface treatment and the color will not disappear even after sanding or cracking. That is exactly the difference from repainting a finished part: while a coat of paint sits on the surface, dyed material has the same tone right through the section. At a low dose the transparency is kept and a glassy green appears; with a higher proportion the material gradually clouds over.
The product is meant for resins cured by ultraviolet light, for epoxy and for polyurethane. It does not get on with acrylic products, which is worth keeping in mind if a modeler combines several systems on one part. At most five percent of the volume belongs in the mix, and in practice a drop or two is enough, because the pigment is very strong. The thin dropper supplied in the bottle makes dosing easier and keeps too much from getting into the mold at once.
Typical uses are water in a diorama, the glass of bottles, green crystals, toxic pools on a base or backlit parts of models. Dyes of the same family can be mixed with each other, so a few bottles will give any intermediate tone. Before pouring into the mold it is worth letting the mix stand briefly, so that the bubbles raised by stirring are released, and only then casting. With larger volumes it pays to cast in layers, because a thick layer heats up as it sets and the shade may settle unevenly in it. The rest of the dye will keep for years in a closed bottle.
