The paint is thinned to spraying consistency at the factory, so in most cases it is applied straight from the bottle. The Earth Red shade comes from the American federal standard palette (FS 30117) used for military camouflage finishes.
For modelers who work with an airbrush and appreciate the fine pigment, thin spray and quick drying of lacquer paints. Because of its lacquer base and the need for lacquer thinner it suits more experienced builders.
The paint is flammable and contains organic solvents. Work in a well-ventilated space, use a respirator and keep away from open flame. It is thinned with lacquer thinner, not with water.
