A set of replacement heads of special forces soldiers cast in resin in 1:35 scale. It serves for conversions and for improving figures: the heads replace less successful originals or bring a variety of faces and headgear into a scene. The maker is the Polish brand Mantis Miniatures.
Changing a head is the quickest way of giving a figure a new expression and character. The heads in this set suit figures of modern operators; with accessories such as helmets, caps or headsets you can easily build a varied group. The subject is treated factually.
Wash the resin castings in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Cut the necks off the casting blocks and adjust them to seat on the body of the figure, then glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For fine facial expressions, a primer and patient painting of the skin in acrylics with layering and light washes prove themselves.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
