Head Set US WW2 Helmets M1 Camo 1:35 is a resin set of heads of American soldiers of the Second World War in M1 helmets with a camouflage cover. An accessory for improving and converting figures, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin set of heads of American soldiers from the period of the Second World War, each wearing a steel M1 helmet fitted with a camouflage cover. The maker is Mantis Miniatures. It is not a figure kit or a model of hardware but a set of replacement heads in 1:35 scale with which you can replace the less successful heads of plastic figures or build versions of soldiers of your own.
The castings capture the characteristic shape of the American M1 helmet with its cloth cover and net, typical of American infantry and paratroopers in the European and Pacific theaters alike. The finely modeled faces help bring a diorama or a vignette to life and give figures an individual expression. The set suits combination with ordinary infantry figures of the matching scale.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, carefully separate the casting blocks and sand them over with your airways protected. Glue the resin heads with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a good primer before painting; the helmet cover and the faces then come out best once shades are laid in acrylics and the detail is brought out with a wash and dry-brushing.
The set is supplied as unpainted resin castings. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
