Four finished HEKI model poplars, thirteen centimeters tall, supplied in a push-in version. The lower part of the trunk is therefore shaped so that the tree can simply be slid into a prepared hole in the landscape without gluing. On a layout where the position of the trees may still change, that is practical: the tree can be pulled out and replanted elsewhere.

How to work with the trees

Pre-drill a hole in the base to match the diameter of the trunk and slide the tree into it. If it is to stay permanently, put a little glue in the hole, as a slender tall tree will otherwise tip when touched. In an avenue keep the spacing uneven and the heights varied. Add grass under the trees so that the transition from the ground is not abrupt and the edge of the hole is not visible.

The push-in version will also suit anyone who carries or dismantles a layout, because tall trees can be taken out before moving. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
