A model birch 18 cm tall for dioramas and layouts, supplied as one piece.
Responsibility details are not available.
Of all trees a birch is the easiest to recognize. A white trunk with dark marks and scars where branches have fallen away, a slender crown and small leaves on thin drooping twigs are features that cannot be mistaken. In a scene a birch therefore works as a strong landmark: one is enough and the viewer knows at once that the subject is set in Central or Northern Europe, at a forest edge or by a field lane.
This is one tree eighteen centimeters tall. The height is the most important figure, and you should compare it with what already stands in the scene, because trees next to each other have to make sense together. Details of the finish and of whether the tree needs any further work are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Drill a hole in the base to match the diameter of the lower part of the trunk, stand the tree in dry and turn it so that its best side faces the viewer. Only then secure it with PVA or cyanoacrylate glue. Cover the transition at the trunk with a thin layer of modeling compound and sprinkle scatter, grass or foliage into it straight away, so that the tree grows out of the ground rather than sitting on it. A birch looks better slightly tilted and with the crown opened up so that there is room for sky between the branches.
One tree is supplied. The base, scatter material, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
