A collector's model of the racing Corvette Z06 GT3.R in its black test finish with graphics from testing at the Road America circuit. It comes from the MINI GT line, which concentrates on well-worked die-cast models in 1:64 scale for adult collectors. The model is finished and painted and is supplied ready to be displayed.
The Corvette Z06 GT3.R is a racing car built to the rules of the GT3 category and derived from the production Corvette Z06 with a mid-mounted engine. Compared with the road car it has a markedly widened body, racing aerodynamics with a front splitter and a large rear wing, a sequential gearbox and the complete safety equipment of a circuit car. It is run in endurance series on both sides of the Atlantic. The black test finish with technical graphics is typical of development runs, when a team gathers data outside the official team colors.
The model has a metal body and chassis, rubber tires and separate wheel rims. The interior with its cage, the outer aerodynamic features and the view of the chassis from below are all worked. The mirrors are of soft plastic, so they do not break easily. The size matches the other die-cast models in 1:64 scale.
This is a finished, painted collector's model. It is not a kit; nothing is glued or painted. Because of the small parts it is not intended for small children.
