A finished collector's model of an American pickup, which is neither assembled nor painted. The body and chassis are of metal alloy, the wheels have rubber tires and the hood opens with a view into the engine bay. The model comes sealed in a collector's box and is ready for a display case.
The Chevrolet Silverado of the turn of the 1970s and 1980s belongs to the generation of pickups with a square body, which earned the nickname square body among collectors. It is a utility vehicle with a ladder frame, a large-displacement V8 and simple, easily modified construction. That is exactly why it became a popular basis for conversions, from lowered street versions to racing specials.
Kaido House is the brand of the designer Jun Imai, which links Japanese tuning style with cars from all over the world. The Intimidator variant is built around a two-tone scheme, racing printing with a start number, lowered suspension, widened fenders and deep wheels. The combination of a classic American pickup and a Japanese approach to modifying makes the model a striking piece in a collection.
The model is supplied finished and sealed in a collector's box with a clear window, so it can also be displayed in its original packaging. The metal body and chassis give it a noticeable weight, while the fittings and interior are plastic. In 1:64 scale a pickup is a good deal larger than passenger cars, so in a display case it works as the center of gravity of a whole shelf.
This is a finished collector's model, not a kit. It is not intended as a toy for small children.
