A set of six round satellite dishes in 1:35 scale, an accessory for the facades and roofs of city dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A satellite dish is one of the quickest ways of giving a scene the present day. On a bare facade a viewer recognizes at once that the scene takes place in the last few decades, and that even when no vehicle stands in it. The set is therefore intended for city dioramas, for dwelling houses, for street corners and for the buildings around which the main action takes place.
Six dishes are enough for a whole facade or for two smaller buildings. Place them irregularly: at differing heights, above windows and on balcony railings, and some slightly turned. Keep to one thing, though, because it shows badly when it is broken: dishes in one place point roughly in the same direction and have roughly the same inclination. Scattered directions look wrong at first glance, even if a viewer cannot say why.
Dishes tend to be light, so dirt shows up well on them. It pays to paint them separately, let them dry and only then glue them on. Vertical traces of water running below the edge of the dish and a darker deposit in the bowl will take the look of a new thing away from them. If the parts are not polystyrene, cement for plastic models has no effect on them and they are bonded with super glue. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder; before painting, wash and degrease the surfaces. The exact procedure for preparation is given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
The dishes are sold on their own. Buildings, figures, paints and glue do not belong with them, unless stated otherwise.
