A section of a house wall with a front door in 1:35 scale. A ready-made focus for a city scene, around which a diorama is built without building a whole house.
Responsibility details are not available.
A front door is the point in any development that both the eye and the lens head for. The frame, the step, the bell and the plaster around them carry traces of daily use such as you will not find anywhere else on a facade. A section of a house wall with an entrance therefore works in a diorama as the natural focus of a scene: a figure can be stood in front of it, equipment propped against the frame, a piece of baggage laid on the step.
Before painting, wash the element, degrease it and let it dry well. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Paint the plaster first in a uniform base tone and only then bring it to life with patches and a dark wash into the seams. If you paint the door as wooden, lay a dark glaze over a light base and wipe the excess off before it dries. Dust the threshold and the bottom of the wall with pigment, because that is exactly where dirt clings most. Choose the glue according to the material stated on the packaging.
For builders of city scenes in 1:35 scale who want a distinct focus for a diorama without having to build a whole house. The section can be combined with further wall parts into a longer street frontage. Paints, glue and figures are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
