A checkpoint in 1:35 scale for dioramas. It gives a scene action: a place where you stop, are checked and wait.
Responsibility details are not available.
A checkpoint is a point where traffic stops and is examined. In the field it tends to be recognizable from a distance: the road narrows, a vehicle has to slow down and drive around an obstacle, and at the side stands a place for the crew. For a diorama it is a rewarding subject, because it establishes action by itself. As soon as a checkpoint stands in a scene, every figure and vehicle is given a reason why it is there and what it is doing at that moment, and the scene stops being just vehicles on display.
Before painting, wash the parts, degrease them and let them dry. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the mark down. A checkpoint looks believable when it carries the traces of traffic: edges worn where vehicles rub against them, a dusty lower part, battered corners. Work from a darker base toward lighter coats sprayed from above, so that shadow stays in the recesses, and finally add dust with pigment. Prepare the lettering and the markings from artwork of your own. Choose the glue according to the material stated on the packaging.
For modelers who build scenes with vehicles and figures in 1:35 scale and are looking for an element around which a story can be built. Check the exact contents of the set on the packaging. Paints, glue, figures and loose materials are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
