A bus stop in 1:35 scale for city and suburban dioramas. A small structure that gives a scene ordinariness and scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bus stop is a structure nobody notices until it is missing. It stands by the road at the edge of a village, usually just a shelter with its back to the wind, and yet it gives a scene what is otherwise hard to come by: ordinariness. Next to passing vehicles it works as a reminder that ordinary life goes on along this road, and at the same time it serves a viewer as a measure, because everybody knows its size. In a diorama it is rewarding too in that it bears peeling paint, posters and the traces of weather.
Before painting, wash the element, degrease it and let it dry. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the mark down. Choose the paint rather more faded than a new coat would warrant, and bring it to life with patches and worn edges. Keep the inside of the shelter darker than the outside, so that an impression of depth arises. Dust the lower part with pigment in the color of the ground around it and add vertical traces of rain. Prepare the posters and the lettering from your own paper artwork. Choose the glue according to the material stated on the packaging.
For modelers who build city and country scenes in 1:35 scale and are looking for an element with a quick effect and little labor. Even a beginner will manage it. Paints, glue, figures and paper posters are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
