Concrete barriers in 1:35 scale supplemented with a stencil. A barrier and at the same time the means of getting repeated markings onto it.
Responsibility details are not available.
A concrete barrier narrows a road, protects an entrance or separates lanes, and in the field it is rebuilt whenever it is needed. Almost never, though, does it stay bare: it carries stripes, numbers, warning markings or the lettering of whoever put it there. That is exactly what is hard to draw by hand in 1:35 scale, because the markings are meant to be the same on every piece and at the same time irregularly worn. Alongside the barriers the set therefore contains a stencil.
Before painting, wash the parts, degrease them and let them dry. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the mark down. Paint the concrete with a light gray base brought to life into patches that are not continuous, leave the edges battered and darken the seams with a wash. Use the stencil only on a dry and smooth surface: lay it on tightly, apply the paint in thin coats at a right angle to the surface, so that it does not run under the edge, and take it off before the paint has dried completely. The procedure and the way of fixing the stencil are specified in the manufacturer's instructions. Finally weaken the markings with dust and wear, so that they do not look new.
For modelers of city and modern scenes in 1:35 scale who care about repeatable and clean markings. Check the number of pieces and the extent of the stencil on the packaging. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
