Buckets and shovels in 1:35 scale are among the small things that make a diorama believable. Pioneer tools and vessels for water were ordinary equipment on military vehicles: they were carried on the fenders, in the tool boxes and in the rear areas at field kitchens and workshops. Set out around a scene they suggest that work is really going on in it, and they fill the empty spots between vehicles and figures.
Buckets and shovels for 1:35 scale, that is for the most widespread size of models of military vehicles and figures. Check the number of pieces and the material of the parts against the manufacturer's information on the packaging. The parts are small, so handle them with tweezers and work over a mat with a raised edge, so that none of them gets lost.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, so that the paint holds. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and according to the manufacturer's instructions; with objects this small it pays to apply it in drops with the tip of a toothpick. Buckets look best when they are not new: a base tone, a darker tone in the recesses and fine traces of rust on the edges and on the bottom. On the shovels leave the blade lighter and smoother than the handle, because it rubbed against the soil.
Paints, glue and a base for a diorama are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
