A photo-etched set of two boxes with lid hinges and padlocks for the German Panzer IV in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panzer IV accompanied the German army throughout the Second World War and its crews carried boxes for tools, spare parts and personal belongings on the hull and on the fenders. A kit usually carries such a box as a solid part with a suggested lid: it cannot be opened and the fittings on it have only the shape of relief. A separate box with hinges and a padlock is therefore one of the few alterations that are visible at first glance and yet require no intervention in the structure of the model.
Photo-etched parts for two boxes, with lid hinges and padlocks to go with them. The intended subject is the German Panzer IV in 1:35 scale. Check the exact layout of the fret against the manufacturer's information on the packaging.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with cutters. Level the remainder of the tab with a fine file. Fold the box around a block of the right size, so that the edges stay square and the lid sits down. Secure the joints with super glue, as cement for polystyrene will not help here. Degrease the parts before painting and lay down a primer. The boxes look better when they are not in exactly the tone of the vehicle: a slight shift of tone and wear on the edges will suggest that they were handled.
The model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
