Wheel chocks for an aircraft in 1:48 scale, version two. The set holds four pieces and a decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A wheel chock holds a parked aircraft in place when the brakes are released. The ground crew push it against the tire as soon as the machine stops and take it away only just before taxiing. For a modeler it is a detail that gives a scene calm and order, because it says that the machine is not going anywhere and that work can go on around it. Version two differs from the others in the line in the shape of the chock.
Four chocks and a decal. Decals are usually transferred the wet way: the motif is cut out, dipped briefly in water and, once free of its carrier, slid onto a dampened spot, where the excess water is pressed out with a soft cloth. Before you soak the sheet, though, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version, because a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined beyond repair.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; on a smooth, non-absorbent surface cyanoacrylate glue holds more reliably than polystyrene cement. While seating them, look at the model from behind at base level, otherwise you will easily miss that a chock clears the wheel by a fraction or, conversely, overlaps the tire. Chocks tend to be brightly colored so that nobody overlooks them and forgets to take them away, so you can treat them as a small color accent in the scene.
The package contains chocks and a decal. The model, a base, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
