An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Belgian maker Belkits, who specializes in very detailed rally models. The set captures the Ford Fiesta RS WRC in the specification from the Tour de Corse 2017. Besides the plastic parts the package contains photo-etched parts, fabric seat belts and decals for the given competition form of the car. Parts for the additional lighting used on the special stages are included as well.
The Ford Fiesta RS WRC was a top-level rally car built to the World Rally Car regulations. The Tour de Corse, nicknamed the rally of ten thousand corners, is a tarmac event with endless hairpins where precision and the setup of the suspension decide rather than brute force. The interior worked out in detail with a roll cage and seats puts this kit among the best that can be built in 1:24 scale on the subject of modern rally cars.
A rally car lives on clean paintwork and precisely settled sponsor decals, so proceed through a primer and a gloss base. The richly detailed interior with the roll cage and the fabric belts deserves separate painting before the body is closed up. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and fit the additional headlights only after painting. Fit the glazing and the window masks last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
