A plastic kit of the second generation of the Japanese sports car in 1:24 scale from Aoshima, from its range of car models. The set makes it possible to build either the early or the later form of the 1989 model year car and offers a rich complement of parts for a faithful replica.
The second generation of the Mazda Savanna RX-7 (FC3S) followed on from the previous generation in the mid-1980s. Under the hood works a turbocharged 13B-T Wankel rotary engine with an intercooler, and the chassis was given independent suspension all round. The car made its name with sharp handling and a balanced ratio of power to weight.
The model calls for assembly and painting. We recommend spraying the body with an airbrush and overcoating it with gloss varnish for a deep shine, and protecting the glazing and the headlights with masks while painting. Aluminum wheels, rubber tires, clear parts and decals for the interior and the details tend to be included; optionally the pop-up headlights can be assembled either open or closed.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
