The Mazda SA22C Savanna RX-7 Daytona '79 is a plastic kit of the racing car in 1:24 scale from Aoshima.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Mazda Savanna RX-7 (SA22C) sports car in its racing specification for the 1979 24 Hours of Daytona in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Aoshima. The set captures the racing version of the car and contains rubber tires and a decal sheet with the racing livery. The model has to be glued and painted.
The first-generation Mazda Savanna RX-7 made its name with its stylish pop-up headlights and its rotary Wankel engine. In 1979 it caught attention on the American racing scene, where it made its IMSA debut in the 24 Hours of Daytona and won its class. The car thus set off a run of successes for the marque in that event.
Separate the parts with a knife and clean the surfaces up with a file, and glue with thin cement for plastic. We recommend spraying the body with an airbrush over primer and finishing the racing livery with decals over a coat of gloss varnish. The details of the chassis and interior stand out once the shadows are picked out gently.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
