The board is a finished acrylic panel with a color print, on which you stand a completed model and give it a setting at a stroke. The motif represents the floor of a pit stop, that is the place where refueling, tire changes and driver changes happen in endurance racing. The designation Type 2 tells this graphic variant apart from the other boards in the range.
The board measures 180x357 mm and is 3 mm thick, and its weight is 210 g. The area is designed for 1:24 scale, so a passenger car stands on it with room to spare around it. A thickness of 3 mm keeps the board flat and it does not warp under the weight of a model.
Acrylic tends to be protected from the factory with a film; take that off only just before use. Clean the surface with a soft cloth, dry or lightly dampened with water; thinners, spirit and abrasive cleaners will damage the print. Set the model on the board rather than gluing it down for good, unless you are sure. Acrylic scratches easily, so do not slide the board across a rough surface and pick it up by the edges when carrying it. Do not leave the board in direct sun for long periods, as the colors of the print could fade.
The board suits collectors of racing cars, in a display case as well as on a show table, where it separates a model from its surroundings and unifies a whole display. It also serves as a quick alternative to building a diorama of your own. The model, figures and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
