Engine intake ducts for the F-5 Tiger II in 1:32 scale from Reskit, cut for the Kitty Hawk kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cast engine intake ducts for the American Northrop F-5 Tiger II light fighter in 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian maker Reskit. According to the manufacturer it is cut for the Kitty Hawk kit. The intakes are a critical place on jet aircraft: in a kit the seams, the bulkhead and the end of the duct are usually visible inside, and that knocks the impression of a model down at once.
The Northrop F-5 was a light, simple and cheap supersonic fighter with two jet engines, developed for export and for allied air forces. It served in dozens of countries and, thanks to its low operating costs, was long used for training and in the aggressor role as well. The Tiger II version brought more powerful engines and reworked wings.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces. Paint and smooth the inside of the duct before you glue it into the fuselage, because afterwards you cannot get inside. Fill and sand the transition between the duct and the outer surface. Spray the inside in a light shade and suggest depth with a darker tone at the end of the duct.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace a kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
