A demanding resin, 3D-printed kit of the Austro-Hungarian fighter biplane Hansa-Brandenburg D.I in 1:32 scale from Lukgraph, in the premium edition (PREMIUM). It is a model meant for advanced modelers and collectors with experience of building in resin.
The Hansa-Brandenburg D.I was a single-seat fighter biplane used by the Austro-Hungarian air service in the First World War. Its design came from Ernst Heinkel and it was in use from 1916 to 1917. A characteristic feature of the machine was the unusual arrangement of the interplane struts into a star shape, the so-called star strut, which gave the aircraft a look of its own.
Before the build, wash the mold release residue off the parts and let them dry thoroughly. Carefully separate the fine 3D-printed and resin parts from the carrier blocks, clean the faces up and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection when sanding resin. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; the premium edition makes a realistic treatment of the surfaces and the stringing of the rigging easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
