A set of color 3D elements from Kelik for the pilot space of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.IIa version, in 1:32 scale. The elements are cut for the Revell kit and cover the instrument panel, the side panels and the small equipment of the cockpit. The letter a in the designation refers to the A type wing, that is to an armament made up of machine guns.

What it brings to the model

The cockpit of the Spitfire is rewarding to build: a tubular structure, the seat on bearers and an instrument panel with a striking layout of dials. In the large 1:32 scale it is looked into from close up under the canopy slid back, and the difference between painted dots and legible instruments is apparent at once. The color elements carry lettering and distinguished panels, and their raised relief casts a shadow in side light, so the panel gains depth.

Before applying them and while working

• The way they are applied differs from one range to another, so follow the instructions from the maker Kelik.
• Spray the cockpit parts first, let them cure and degrease them, otherwise the edge of an element will lift away in time.
• Apply the elements while the cockpit is freely accessible, that is before the fuselage is closed.
• Work with tweezers with a soft grip and press them down with a cotton bud from the center toward the edges.
• The assignment of the elements to the parts of the kit is given in the maker's instructions.
