In 1:32 scale the instrument panel is large and clearly visible, so every hand-painted dial shows. Instead of painting, this set offers finished colored instruments with a three-dimensional relief and legible dials. The elements are made without bezels, so they suit a panel that already has the instrument rims of its own and only needs the dials added.
A sheet of three-dimensional colored instruments patterned on those of American Second World War aircraft, printed on decal backing paper. The individual dials are fitted one by one according to the aircraft you are building. The set is not tied to a single kit and is meant for use on any model in 1:32 scale.
Cut the dial from the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so spray the panel beforehand with a color matching the aircraft and polish it with gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, on which the element holds reliably. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. While the surface is still damp, the position of the dial can still be adjusted. The set also comes in handy for repairing a panel damaged during the build.
The set will please a modeler working in the large scales who is building a cockpit from documentation of his own, improving an older kit with coarse instrument relief, or making the panel himself. The work calls for tweezers and a steady hand, but nothing more unusual than that.
The package contains this set only. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
