1:35 A7V Totenkopf is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German assault vehicle of the First World War from the Italian brand Tauro Model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the Sturmpanzerwagen A7V, the only German tank of the First World War to be built in series, in the version with the death's head marking. The tooling comes from the Italian brand Tauro Model and it is a classic injection-molded plastic kit for collectors of the vehicles of 1917 and 1918.
The A7V came about as the German answer to the British and French tanks. On a chassis derived from an artillery tractor stood a tall armored box with a 5.7 cm gun in the nose of the hull and machine guns spread around its sides. The crew numbered almost twenty men, an extraordinary figure even for the time. Only a few dozen of the vehicles were built, yet they went down in history: on April 24, 1918 at Villers-Bretonneux the A7V clashed with British Mark IV tanks in the first fight of armor against armor.
The tall flat sides call for careful cleaning of the joints so that the mold seam does not show. Assemble and paint the running gear before you close the box up. A matte base suits the surface, followed by a dark wash into the riveted divisions and finally dust pigments on the lower hull, because these vehicles moved through the mud of the Western Front.
The vehicle comes in the box as unassembled plastic parts without a finish. Paints, glue and other accessories are not enclosed with it, unless stated otherwise.
